Kaiser Shelling Out the Big Bucks

A 14-year-old Lake Forest girl who suffered brain damage during her birth at Kaiser Permanente’s Anaheim hospital received a $3.2 million settlement this month.
Ariana Ehtemam wasn’t breathing when she was delivered by Caesarean section and now suffers from physical and behavioral problems, according to court documents.
Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. Something to balance out the maternal cesarean death stories we read about, here’s a girl that should have been born by c-section sooner to avoid severe physical damages. This is one reason that so many doctors are eager to cut first, ask questions later.
