Update on Baby Burned in NICU

The investigation into the cause of a Jan. 22 fire in a nursery at Mercy Hospital, Coon Rapids that injured a newborn baby continues.
Following the fire, the baby boy was transferred to the Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) burn unit and remained in critical, but stable condition as of Jan. 25, according to Christine Hill, HCMC media relations specialist.
Baby Maverick was born by Caesarean section Monday evening.
The hospital is no doubt doing everything they can to make this couple comfortable after they almost killed their son. Anything to avoid a lawsuit.
To me, this is just the height of ridiculous (not in a funny way, but in a bizarre way). Who would think that a baby in the NICU would catch on fire?! It’s beyond bizarre. The makers of that baby warmer better be contacting some good lawyers right about now.
