Former Midwife Assistant on the Radio

When Kellie Fuller took over Don Imus’ syndicated morning slot at KVYN/KVON in Napa, the former singer was admittedly intimidated.It was her first radio job. And, for better or worse, she replaced the controversial personality.
Then Fuller remembered her previous eight years as a mid-wife assistant. And the umbilical cord to chaos was cut.
“When I first started, I was so, so nervous,” Fuller said. “Then I thought for a second: ‘I’m helping babies come into this world.’ It put it all in perspective.”
That first day on the air was in September. And, with veteran radio man Ron Brown as a mentor, it’s been a breeze for the willowy brunette since.
“I’m genuinely having a great time and I think that comes across,” Fuller said. “I can be sitting here by myself and during a song, I’m singing along or dancing to it.”
